image1-16

Hey guys! How have you all been! I know it has been over a month since I last posted, but now I am gonna be regular. And I am serious about it! So, if you follow me on my social media, you would know that I was in Delhi recently for a week and Himachal Pradesh for 4 days. The trip was amazing buy sadly, I could not click many pictures during my trip. I have posted a few on my social media incase you are interested.

So in this post I will be sharing my top 5 things to do in Delhi. It does not include any historic place or monuments since I only visited a couple of them. But if you have time do visit the Kutub Minar or Humayun Tomb or whatever interests you! I have shared my personal opinions, why would I do that particular activity or visit a certain place which you may or may not like. As mentioned earlier, since I did not click a lot of pictures, For this post I will be using the images on the net to give a rough idea. I do not claim to own any of these images. (By any chance, if this image belongs to you please send me a mail and I shall either give credits or take down the image. Whatever you prefer.)

  1. Enjoy at Hauz Khas: Yes I know you have heard a lot about this already. But trust me it is amazing. I do like their nightlife but I prefer visiting it in the evening around 4 and leaving as soon as it starts crowding. Not that I have a problem with crowding, but Mumbai too has an amazing nightlife and in the evenings I think I can actually enjoy the place. Also, the fort there has many squirrels. Just saying.

2. Shop at Sarojini: Sarojini nagar has some amazing stuff at very cheap prices. Basically, there are lanes and lanes of street shops selling clothes, shoes, accessories and all. If you can bargain well, this is your place to be. The quality is average but worth the price. I bought about 5 to 6 pieces of clothing from there for about Rs. 1200 which is pretty good. Do make sure you wear comfy clothes and carrying a water bottle.

3. Travel in metro: To some of you this may seem weird, but Delhi metros are super fast and efficient. If you plan on seeing actual Delhi, ditch your cars and travel in metro. Metro goes almost everywhere. They make travelling so much easier.

chaat

4. Chaat: How can I leave this out? Their chaats are amazing! From aloo chaat to pani puri to tikki chaat it is all very tasty and available in abundance. They can be customised as per your palette and are quite filling.

5. Visit Delhi Haat: The concept of Delhi Haat was something new for me. It is an all year round exhibition (if I am not wrong) with different kiosks from each state in India. All products sold here are handicrafts and unique in themselves. They have food stalls based on states too! The bet time to visit this would be after 4 since it is held on open grounds. The best part is that it is very well maintained.

I did visit Khan market, Connaught place and a few more but I still would prefer the above 5. Also, there is a giveaway going on my instagram! Check it out.
