Fudgy Nutella Brownies

Hi guys! Happy New year! How are you all doing? I feel like it’s been ages since I last blogged. I am really sorry for that, but I have been caught up in too many things. But well now I am here, so without anymore delay let’s dive into the post.

If you’ve known me for a while, you might know that I love to bake. Brownies, cookies, tarts, anything does the job. I just find baking very stress relieving. And what adds the cherry on the top is that perfect result. I had posted the recipe for this about a year back as well, but that got accidentally deleted while the site was under renovation. I happened to bake a batch just a couple of weeks ago for my family, so shot for it again. Here’s the recipe:

Fudgy Nutella Brownies

Foolproof and fudgy brownies

Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 35 minutes
Total Time 50 minutes
Servings 9 Pieces

Ingredients

  • 60 grams salted butter *add a pinch of salt incase using unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated white sugar
  • 1 egg *room temperature
  • 1/2 cup nutella *can be replaced with melted chocolate
  • 2 tbsp warm milk
  • 1 tbsp vanilla essence
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Start off by beating the butter and sugar together with an electric whisk until it turns light and fluffy.

  2. Add the egg and vanilla essence and whisk for another few seconds.  Add nutella and mix.

  3. Sift in all the dry ingredients and combine well using the cut and fold method.

  4. Slowly, pour in the warm milk as required.

  5. Line an 8"x 8" baking tin with baking/ parchment paper and pour in the batter.

  6. Put it in a preheated oven at 220ºC for 15 minutes and then lower the temperature to 180ºC-200ºC

  7. Let the brownies cool down completely and then enjoy them with ice cream or on their own!

Recipe Notes

Since the brownie is supposed to be fudgy in the centre, the right way to check whether it is cooked or not is to press the centre lightly and if it regains the original shape then it is ready to be taken out of the oven.

Okay so that’s all for this post! Hope you guys liked the recipe and will try it out soon.
