What is the one thing you always keep in mind while planning a travel? Activities? Cost? Connectivity? Hours of travel? All of the above? Well I for one keep these things in mind along with getting the perfect accommodation. I believe an accommodation can make or break your vacation.

It is the place you come back to after a tiring day, the place you grab your morning coffee, the place you sit with your travel partners to reminisce the day. AirBnB gives a more home like experience where you can cook your meals, have your breakfast at any time you want and so many of them are even pet friendly. Know what you are looking for: Before you even start scrolling through your options, be clear on what type of stay do you want? Something quaint? Or modern/ Or luxurious? Maybe artistic? Location: You do not want to book a place so far away from the places you want to visit that you spend hours on traveling. Best way to select an area would be too open the map, locate all the places in your list, find a centre point and go from there. Also make sure to research about the neighborhood for safety and the distance from the public transport facilities. You do not want to walk for a kilometre to catch a train.

Price: One of the reasons I recommend AirBnB is because there are good properties for every pocket. Since most of them come with access to kitchen, you could even upgrade to a better property as you can save money on eating out. It is all about maintaining balance.

Review: Always read what others have to say. ALWAYS! There are so many things you can come to know about the host, accommodation, amenities by reading the reviews left by fellow travelers. Their review is of their experience and so many times people leave such good tips too.

Talk to the host: Never book a place without talking to your host first. You can come to know about the accommodation and area more in detail by talking to them. Also, they can guide you with the local watering holes and coffee shops and the best ways to get around the city. Not to forget, it is always better to clear all the doubts before deciding upon a place.
