Must visit Brunch Spots in Mumbai this Lockdown

A facade of Cincin restaurant in Mumbai

If you know me even the slightest or follow my instagram, you’d know my love for brunches. Nothing makes a day better than meeting your friends or family at a restaurant with nice seating, good ambience and great food. It is one of the simple joys of life which we have been deprived of for the past 8 months for all the right reasons.

Now as all the restaurants and cafes have started opening up in the past week (with proper precautions and safety measures) I thought I’d share a list of my favorite spots in the city for grabbing a good meal, catching up with friends and celebrating life in general. You can check my favorite coffee spots in the city HERE incase interested and now continuing with the brunch spots:

*In no way is this post encouraging people to go out. And incase heading out, they are advised to take all the safety precautions, wear a mask and maintain social distance.

Interior of Bayroute restaurant with Turkish food

Bayroute: They promise an authentic Turkish/ Egyptian/ Palestinian cuisine and they deliver! If you haven’t tried Turkish cuisine before then I’d highly recommend checking this spot out.

Food flatlay of an authentic wood fired pizza in Mumbai

Cecconi: Situated inside SoHo House, this place is known for their authentic Italian affair with a view of the beach. Order anything off their menu and you won’t be disappointed. From drinks to dessert, they do it the best.

Classic Aperol with restaurant facade in background

Cincin: If a restaurant had the power to teleport you to Italy with its food, this would be it! Can never go wrong with a wood fired pizza, some drinks and the lively ambience.

Flatlay of Japanese food at Fatty Bao

Fatty Bao: This is my go-to ramen spot in the city. Nothing is more comforting than catching up friends over a bowl of ramen and some sushi on the side. Something I have terribly missed in the past few months and cannot wait to correct.

Quirky interior at Jamjar Cafe, Mumbai

Jamjar Diner: A place with good food, sea view and board games! I’m sold! I have been visiting this place for a long time and never has it disappointed me. Their menu ranges from all day breakfast to vegan varieties to burgers. And the quirky interior is definitely an added bonus.

Coffee flatlay

The Homemade Cafe & Bar: Imagine sitting in a cafe with soft sunlight pouring in while you sip on some good coffee/ mimosa reading a book/ chatting away. This place is perfect for that. especially if you’re someone who likes having multiple cuisine options.
