Tips for Frizzy Hair

If you ask me personally, my hair was one of the very few things I never had to bother about. All I had to do was wash them every three days and comb them once dried. Like literally. And I took it for granted. Which means that karma bit me in the back and now I live in a tent made of my haircare products. First couple of months were a struggle but now I have gotten a hang of it and all it takes is 10 extra minutes.

Like I said, I was introduced (more like required to know) to the haircare world just a few months back and I was so confused. I mean it is like skin care all over again. But for your hair. Am I making sense? Anyways, there are so many products and options like smoothening, lengthening, strengthening, to make it shinier, healthier, glossier Oh God! But after trying what I thought would work for my hair I have noted down the best products and tips which work for me in taming the frizz.

*Just for reference: I have naturally straight and thin hair which have become very frizzy due to the weather.

Choosing the right Shampoo & Conditioner: This is one of the most important decision and yet somehow the most lightly taken one. Understand your hair. Do your research on product would suit your hair. Even using the wrong hair products leads to frizzy and unmanageable hair.

Never stick to one. Keep on changing your shampoo and conditioner. It should depend on the weather and the hair status. I have linked below a couple which I am personally a fan of.

Shampoo: TRESemme, OGX

Conditioner: TRESemme, OGX

Eating right: It all begins with what you eat. Just like your skin, your hair needs its nutrients to stay soft and strong. And the best thing is you don’t need to go out of your way. There are so many food items that we can include in our daily diet that not only benefit your hair but your skin as well.

Leave in serums and creams: Till date there are so many misconceptions about them. The biggest one being that if you use a conditioner then you don’t need to use a serum. No w this is not true. Leave in creams provide the extra care and nourishment. Not only this, they also make styling and managing hair so easier. I am currently in my second bottle of the Blunt Anti-Frizz cream which is really good and serves the purpose.

Hair Spa: Even your hair needs some extra pampering every now and then. If you don’t have the time to go out for a hair spa, you can very easily DIY it at home. At least that is what I do. I love using the L’oreal Hair Spa every once in a week and my hair just feels bouncier, smoother and shinier and most importantly frizz-free hair.

Hope you find this helpful!
