Finding Inspiration

Is it just me or has WordPress been acting up? I have been trying to upload this post for about 5 days but it just wasn’t happening. But finally, here we are! 2019 so far has been very underwhelming for me. The first two months were a waste from a professional point of view (okay, not a complete waste but nothing concrete was achieved and time was lost) and March has been me hiding under my shell and visiting doctors (nothing serious but took a while to adjust). But on a much brighter side, I have never ben so inspired and motivated to work towards my goals.

” Inspiration can be found in the smallest of things if looked at with the right perspective. “

One thing that I am throughly enjoying is creating content for my Instagram. I kid you not. The entire process, from creating a concept to planning the shoot to actually editing and finally putting it out. It is like my escape. Even this month, when like I said I wasn’t my best, I did my best at creating content. And honestly I’m very happy with the result. I haven’t reached my goal yet but I’ve definitely come a long way.

Here in this post I’ll be sharing my most effective ways to find an inspiration and how to keep it going!

Surround yourself with things that motivate you: Your inspiration can either be in the same field or a completely different one. For example, we are all guilty for spending hours on Instagram. Follow accounts that make you feel excited. Or whose posts you look forward to. Understand what excites you about that particular post and challenge yourself to work on those lines. It will take a while to understand the entire process but that is not wasted time.

Change your perspective: It is not only vital for survival but also for growth. Inspiration can be found in the smallest of things if looked at with the right perspective. Just keep an open mind and observe things around you. It’s bound to spark. Change your daily routine a bit. Travel for  while, read a new genre, visit the museum, meet your friends/family go to the unexplored parts of your city.

Believe in time: You need to be patient. You can’t find inspiration within the first few days. Work towards it. Do you research. Find things that interest you. Research more. Make a list. Take a small break. Come back and check if you are still happy with the list. If yes, then get to work. If not, you would  at least get an idea to your likings and moods.

So these are the small things that have proven helpful for me, hope you find it helpful too!
